  • I Am Not Shazam: Many fans confuse the name of the mod for Cyclops' name. The Gamebanana page even has to clear up said confusion.
  • Nightmare Fuel: Seeing as how this mod (as well as the main opponent of it) are based on an edited creepy Sonic gif, expect to see some particularly freaky things.
    • Right off the bat with Control is where things get creepy as it starts with what appears to be Sonic facing away from you. But then he turns around...
      • And it's not just limited to the beginning either. The majority of Cyclops' poses each have him showing a pair of jaws with razor sharp teeth (and this extends to each of the songs he appears in), and in his right pose for this song, he is VISIBLY BLEEDING as he's pulling at his skin, almost like he's trying to rip off a mask that's been glued to him.
      • And it's not just Cyclops you need to worry about during this song as he's got backup in the form of Knuckles and Tails (the latter now known as Tails.JPEG), both now slaves to the shapeshifting alien. While the most they do is mess with the strumline depending on whether you have it set to upscroll or downscroll (Tails is up, Knuckles is down), it's still rather unnerving to see them like this, Knuckles especially as he glitches out and distorts himself when he shows up.
    • Thought you'd be done dealing with Cyclops' puppets in Control (Loaded)? NOPE. Tails.JPEG makes a return, and on top of facing you directly, he also removes the health bar, meaning if you miss even one note, YOU'RE DEAD.
    • While he doesn't intend to harm you and only wants to teach you some math, there is some creepy to be found with Schoolhouse Sonic, mainly in where his song takes place, his eponymous schoolhouse. At certain parts of the song, the screen will glitch and the lighting will change, and within the glitch is what looks to be a face, which ends up gaining a red glow later in the song. Also, within the mod's files are some unused animations for Schoolhouse Sonic, and had they been implemented, they would have made him extra creepy due to their stilted animations, not to mention the down pose has him clutching his head, almost as if he's in pain.
    • Trying to use the debug menu will have Cyclops personally appear before you, close the game, and then jumpscare you with a haunting roar.
    • In the Sound Test, inputting a certain code will grant you access to a song called Manipulation. It starts much like Control, with Cyclops facing away from Boyfriend. However after Boyfriend's first verse, Cyclops turns to face Boyfriend, and he. Is. LIVID. Unlike the calm sway he had in Control, Cyclops is visibly shaking in psychotic rage, likely due to him having failed to turn Boyfriend into another of his slaves.
      • Speaking of, should you fail in Control or Control (Loaded), THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENS TO BOYFRIEND.
    • Also, remember that shapeshifting comment above? THAT'S AN ACTUAL ABILITY OF CYCLOPS, and we see it happen during Instigation when he turns into Fatal Error, and on top of that, you can faintly hear Fatal's vocals coming from Cyclops while he's like this, suggesting that he's also capable of doing voice mimicry, which would explain why Cyclops's vocals are so different in each song he appears in (although according to Echo, the composer of Control and Instigation, it's because he forgot to save the presets for Cyclops and messed up the filters).
