* PlayerPunch: [[spoiler: ''AND'' ''HOW!'' The day after Coon and Friends agree to assimilate with Freedom Pals, the New Kid can wake up in the morning to find their parents are missing and their kitchen ''drenched in blood!''. When they arrive to the Freedom Pal headquarters, not only do they find out that Mitch Conner (aka Eric Cartman) destroyed Timmy's franchise plans, but kidnapped the New Kid's parents and blackmails the New Kid into getting selfies from certain people to help guarantee his winning the election for mayor. Later on when they get to the genetics lab, they get hit with another player punch when they find themself forced to kill one of their parents in order to escape the lab.]]

* AntiClimaxBoss: The final boss, [[spoiler:the second Mitch Conner encounter, can come off as anticlimactic compared to the other two battles in Chapter 5 against the Woodland Critters and King Douchebag (the latter qualifying as a sort of BossRush)- which are more challenging due to the number of units you had to deal with in those fights on top of their stronger attacks. In this fight, you only have to contend with a DualBoss versus The Coon and the Human Kite who start by trading shots against each other before turning on you while you outnumber them four to two. Really, if you've made it this far in the game, it won't pose much of a challenge compared to the fights before it, with King Douchebag arguable being the "real" final boss in terms of combat challenge and applying all the tactics you've learned throughout the game, while this battle really only exists for comedy as well as to wrap up Mitch Conner's arc.]]

** Speaking of race, the "difficulty" slider is tied to your skin tone in character creation, meaning if you want to play as a black person the game will be on the hardest.[[note]]Aside from a few dialog changes, the only thing it affects is how much money you start off with.[[/note]] A voiceover from Cartman comments "Don't worry, this doesn't affect combat. Just every other aspect of your whole life." Also, at higher "difficulties" (darker skin tones), [[spoiler:Morgan Freeman will not be available as a BonusBoss.]]

* DesignatedHero: Doctor Timothy (aka Timmy Burch) treated in-universe as some sort of an AllLovingHero and the BigGood of the game, especially after the reveal that [[spoiler:his franchise plan will give equal focus to every hero and Professor Chaos]]. However, in the boss with him, he preforms MindRape on all the New Kid's friends from Coon and Friends and forces them to attack him/her/them. Then after the boss fight, the New Kid is called an animal and an asshole for attacking Timothy when [[spoiler:the truth about his franchise plan is revealed]]. Really Timothy is the one who attack the New Kid and robbed their friends of their free will for a rather flimsy reason and [[spoiler:kept his franchise plan under raps for no reason]]. In fairness to Timothy though, he is very supportive of the New Kid when [[spoiler:Cartman/Mitch Conner kidnaps their parents and never once blames the New Kid when things start going wrong]]. He also admits that he probably could have handled the conflict between Coon and Friends and Freedom Pals better, so the problem might be more that everyone else doesn't hold him to as high of standards that he holds to himself.

* LowTierLetdown: Cartman/The Coon is widely considered the worst party member in the game. His skillset is entirely built around single-target damage, but he's horribly outclassed in every possible way: only one of his skills (Coon Claws) inflicts a status effect (Bleed) and only hits a single target directly in front of him while the other two are only good for repositioning himself, and he has no means of hitting multiple enemies at once. Mysterion hits much harder and has more utility because of his StanceSystem, Super Craig and Captain Diabetes (both of which are unlocked ''before'' Coon) both hit harder, can take more damage and have more utility, and Call Girl has better status effects, longer range and a taunt/block move that makes her more durable. Though "Prime Time Coon" is a useful LimitBreak due to hitting every enemy, even that gets outstaged by Call Girl's "Flash Mob", Henrietta's "Black Mass" and ''especially'' [[GameBreaker Mintberry Crunch's "Bringing the Crunch"]]. [[spoiler:The fact he leaves the party on Day 4 doesn't help.]]

** In the "Bring the Crunch", one side quest has the New Kid take selfies near haunted areas to make people's spirits come out. While this could've been an opportunity for the writers to have the New Kid interact with deceased characters from ''South Park'''s early days, such as Chef, [[spoiler:who fights the New Kid as a Nazi Zombie in ''Stick of Truth'']], Ms. Crabtree, Pip, and Ms. Choksondik. This could've balanced out the representation of the show's eras in a game whose story and humor are rather reliant on the player's familiarity with modern ''South Park'' to be fully effective. Unfortunately, the ghosts simply belong to [[spoiler: miscellaneous people that died in the camp.]]

** Less of a wasted plot and more like wasted areas, but the game goes out of its way to allow players to visit as many houses as possible, including most of the playable cast's houses. Even characters like Nichole, Kevin Stoley, the Biggles, and Bebe get their own houses. However, Wendy, Timmy, Scott, and Tweek's houses are nowhere to be found despite these characters being superheroes too. It is somehow mitigated by Wendy being in Bebe's house as her civilian self, her parents being found in different locations entirely, and Tweek Bros. Coffee being a place to visit again. Nevertheless, Timmy and Scott get nothing.

** The fight against [[spoiler: Morgan Freeman, the game's BonusBoss]] gets a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PNlO7yfV8A badass Mexican-flavoured theme]] that wouldn't sound out of place in a SpaghettiWestern gunfight.

** The theme for battling the Vamp Kids, a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMw2R33cgnk ridiculously awesome orchestral metal piece]] fit for dueling their lame black magic with [[GameBreaker not-lame]] Netherborn powers.

** Although the development team eventually made Bradley a playable character through DLC, Captain Hindsight and Cthulu, important characters in the "Coon and Friends" trilogy, still do not make important appearances even after the two DLC storylines came out. ** Religion plays a much bigger role in ''Fractured but Whole'' than in ''Stick of Truth''. The player needs to pick from a list of every recognizable faith imaginable, including Scientology, provided by Jesus himself, to complete the "religion" section of their character sheet. Missions include [[spoiler: fighting [[PedophilePriest two pedophile priests]] after being accidentally trapped in a dark room by Father Maxi, helping the Gay Fish's mom ascend to Heaven, and fighting satanic critters and saving yourself by praying to Christ, which summons Santa Claus.]] Despite this, Satan, a major supporting character in the show's early days, does not make a prominent appearance. The same can be said for his son, Damien, who can actually be friended in ''Stick of Truth''. Satan is part of Henrietta's Ultimate, but has no role in the main game.

** Additionally you can get an epic equipment during the dlc you get Mintberry that gets stronger the more camp quests you do. Its effect is to give you bonus Ultimate Meter when a character gets attacked but takes no damage. It was custom built to let you get off Mintberry's ultimate as much as possible once max strength.

** In the E3 2016 trailer, the game pokes fun at the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse for making a ''Film/{{Black Panther|2018}}'' film only after making a whole bunch of white-led films first. It’s pretty disheartening to see that Trey and Matt ended up [[Recap/SouthParkS22E01DeadKids not liking the film]].
** At one point, Tupperware gets shot at by one of the police officers solely for being black. Come "[[Recap.SouthParkThePandemicSpecial The Pandemic Special]]", Token gets shot by the police for real, and for the same reason.

** Butters will occasionally tell Buttlord that they're pretty 'for a boy', if they are female. Can be considered Ho Yay since everyone but Wendy, Mr. Mackey, The New Kid's parents and PC Principal thinks that she is a boy.

** Although the development team eventually made Bradley a playable character through DLC, Captain Hindsight and Cthulu, important characters in the "Coon and Friends" trilogy, still do not make important appearances even after the two DLC storylines came out. ** This game came out between Seasons 20 and 21. In Season 20, Heidi was promoted to main character status following her ostracization after leaving Twitter and the beginning of her relationship with Cartman. Season 21 would make Heidi and Cartman's relationship one of the few surviving plotlines from Season 20 alongside Garrison being President of the United States. Despite this and the girls getting more individual focus than in ''Stick of Truth'', such as Wendy being PromotedToPlayable and Bebe becoming a shopkeeper, the one girl that was getting the most focus at the time has no role in the game whatsoever. Heidi was a planned Coonstagram friend and her design is used for some of the miscellaneous [=NPCs=] that walk around South Park, but she gets nothing else.

* AcceptableTargets: Vampires and Goths. The game treats you barging into the vampires' party and ruining things for them as justified because of how lame the vampires are, and Goths are treated as being almost indistinguishable from vampires, and are at best seen as tolerably lame.
