YMMV / South Park S 26 E 3 Japanese Toilets

• Alternative Character Interpretation: While Randy acted like an elitist jerk, did he genuinely think that if everyone got a Japanese toilet, they, the world, and the environment would be better off? Or did Randy not care about what he was preaching, and it was his ego going to his head? He just wanted to flex his new purchase to everyone. One has to remember that Randy has done stuff like this before. Randy finds a new obsession, takes it too far, and makes dumb decisions until it all blows up in his face. It's a cycle.
• Catharsis Factor: Even if he does recover from it, with the incident causing him to become a jerk for a different reason, the scene where Randy gets shot in an assassination attempt can still be considered satisfying to those who find him more annoying than funny.
• It's the Same, Now It Sucks!: Many viewers sick of Tegridy Farms weren't happy that this episode confirms Tegridy Farms is still up and running, even when The Streaming Wars admitted that it made Randy unbearable, and Randy was shown in his old outfit two episodes prior (though the plot of this episode doesn't involve weed).
