• Trapped by Mountain Lions: The first book where this really starts kicking in. What seemed to be getting Joshua in place to participate in the final battle - meaning the series would probably wrap up by this book or the next - turns into an extended detour. It involves traveling to yet another scriptural era, it still isn't resolved by book's end, and to make it happen, the time travel suddenly works how it never has before, the baddies being able to conjure portals just like that. Considering the already-long Rescue Arc that's been running for 3 books now - and 10 real-life years - you'd think things would start wrapping up.
