• Awesome Music: "Solar" by Blake Perlman, the film's closing theme, is a nostalgic, drifting theme that almost feels as too good for the film itself. Bonus points for being written and performed by Ron Perlman's duaghter.
• Tainted by the Preview: Dolph Lundgren conceived Skin Trade to raise awareness about human trafficking, but revealing this in the previews proved to be a huge mistake, as it drove most mainstream critics to over-analyze the film as a political pamphlet rather than as the dumb kung fu flick it actually is. Predictably, they found issue with the film not being apologetic enough or just containing too much coolness and pretty girls for such a message.
