- Love to Hate: Like most Krofft series, Sigmund's inept villainous family is the real draw of the series (as a Large Ham more than anything else), with the nominal heroes only mildly of interest.
- Ugly Cute: Sweet Mama is supposedly based on Edith Bunker, but her appearance and persona more closely resemble Phyllis Diller.
