  • Anvilicious: As is standard for Michael Moore, the film is not subtle in the slightest. However, its message about the flaws in U.S. health care is a very important one.
  • No Such Thing as Bad Publicity: The owner of an anti-Moore-movie site had to shut the site down to deal with payments for his wife's illness; so, naturally, Moore invoked this trope by giving the site owner a huge pile of money so that he could afford to reopen the website and continue providing inadvertent publicity. The irony behind the additional publicity of Moore giving money to someone who became broke because of health-related costs while protesting a film that protests health care costs was not lost on the film's audience.
