• Overshadowed by Controversy: While the game did eventually release (a rare sight for Kickstarter-based MMOs), it is mostly known for two things: completely tarnishing Richard Garriott's half a century worth of reputation and being one of the biggest scams ever created on Kickstarter. Syphoning over 15 million dollars, the final result was an unfinished mess of a game, while the company behind it had to close shop simply to not face the consequences of dodging both the IRS and the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
