• Harsher in Hindsight: In the story, Tifa was reported dead after the events of Nibelheim five years ago, and many like Rufus initially suspected that she was a SOLDIER taking the name and identity of the famed war-hero, Cloud being one of the few that recognizes she really is his Childhood Friend. However, in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Cloud is manipulated by Sephiroth into thinking that Tifa was killed during the events of Nibelheim, and that the one traveling with him is a Jenova offshoot, leading to nearly deadly results for Tifa.
