• Awesome Art: The anime has been highly praise for its visuals. Despite limited animation, the show has a striking, vibrant color palette and the character designs are appealing.
• Awesome Music:
  • "Mabataki" ("Blink"), the opening, perfectly encaptures how Miyano slowly falls in love with Sasaki over the course of the show.
  • "Ichigo Sunset", sung by Sasaki and Miyano's voice actors, is a heartwarming ending song with the boys singing about how they want to spend the rest of their lives together.
• Broken Base: While majority of the fanbase doesn’t mind it, there’s a number of fans didn’t like the plot point of Miyano liking BL, and feels like the point of the titular couple bonded over BL are somewhat weird.
• Memetic Mutation: Sasaki and Miyano: the Suntan manga. ^Explanation The manga's fourth volume has Shūmei Sasaki and Yoshikazu Miyano resembling Kel and Sunny, respectively. Comparisons were made between the two pairs, being dark-hair-contrasting, downplayed–Masculine–Feminine Gay Couples, to the point of the manga's cover being edited to give Sasaki Kel's tan skin and longer hair, and give Miyano Sunny's eyepatch.
