YMMV / Samurai Jack S 4 E 4 The Aku Infection

  • In order to fight Aku's essence over his almost consumed body, Jack is visited by the spirits of his parents to remind him of all of the good he has done in Aku's Bad Future and to never give up, which finally frees him from Aku's control. This would include reminding him of all of the friends and allies he's made along the way. 50 years later, it seems he's forgotten about this, and would have to be reminded of the people he's helped to once again save himself from what could've been an arguably worse outcome.
  • Aku is constantly coughing throughout the episode. Shortly after it aired, his voice actor succumbed to esophageal cancer.
  • In Episode C, Aku finds out that Ashi is literally his daughter, and uses this new-found fact to transform her into a miniature clone of Aku in a way eerily similar to how Jack transformed into an Aku clone.
