YMMV / Rudolph's Lessons for Life

Go To

  • Adorkable: While Rudolph has always been shy and awkward in every media starring him. In this adaptation, Rudolph is notably cheerful alongside given a cute squeaky and nasally voice.
  • Awesome Music: The music composed by Carol Draves perfectly captures the whimsical and magically feeling of the Christmas season. Especially the prologue music heard as the narrator is introducing the viewer to the story of Rudolph, with an extended version played heard during the credits.
  • Heartwarming Moments:
    • Rudolph's unnamed friends (a male penguin and female reindeer) helping him decorate his Christmas tree. At one point, he's seeing playfully showing off to the female reindeer as she watches in amazement.
    • After Santa accepts Rudolph to help him on Christmas Eve, Rudolph and Santa briefly brace each other for a hug before Santa restarts his journey.
    • On Christmas morning, Rudolph gives a heartfelt speech to the citizens of the North Pole about overcoming a dangerous storm storm and blizzard, showing that being different isn't bad, and helping out others as the elves and reindeer are paying attention to his speech.
  • Moe: While Rudolph was already cute in past adaptations (such as the 1948 short by Max Fleischer, the Rankin-Bass special, and 1998 feature film). In "Rudolph's Lessons for life", he's extra cute due to having a more upbeat personality compared to traditionally adaptations.
