YMMV / Ride

  • Ear Worm: "Vapour Trail" is pretty catchy, and pretty sad. "Twisterella" and "Time Machine" off Going Blank Again also count. "Charm Assault" has an insanely catchy riff in the verses as well.
  • Epic Riff: "Grasshopper" is about 11 minutes of epic riffs being thrown at the listener.
  • First Installment Wins: Their most critically acclaimed album? Nowhere.
  • Gateway Series: One of the first shoegaze bands newcomers will encounter, and also one of the best.
  • Growing the Beard: Their first couple E Ps were good, but the Nowhere era is often regarded as the band's high point.
  • Signature Song: "Vapour Trail".
  • Sophomore Slump: Averted with Going Blank Again, which is often ranked alongside Nowhere, although their other two albums don't fare nearly as well.
  • Tear Jerker - "Vapour Trail", "Dreams Burn Down", "Castle On The Hill"
