** Everytime Santana opens his damn mouth. Jordi Molla uses a very odd inflection - almost YouNoTakeCandle - when speaking his lines, causing him to come across as very non-threatening. "Dingo-dongo" indeed.

** Riddick's ability to predict the future is frankly ridiculous in this film. His super-soldier moments (such as slicing a man's skull in half with a machete by ''kicking it'') aren't any better.

* {{Mondegreen}}: It took until the credits for some viewers to notice that it was "Dahl," not "Doll"...

* EnsembleDarkhorse: The films two female characters, Dahl and Santana's Prisoner (WordOfGod says her real name is K.L. Sunhill) racked up quite a bit of popularity. In Dahl's case, it's because she proved to be such a badass. In Sunhill's case, it's because she's mainly seen as TheWoobie due to being held prisoner (where she was possibly abused and assualted) before given a HopeSpot that leads to her death.

* PlayingGertrude: Matthew Nable, who plays Boss Johns, is only three years older than Cole Hauser, who played his son in the first film. Even stronger since the younger Johns has been dead for a decade by now. This could be explained by AllThereInTheManual fluff indicating that cryogenic space travel actually causes people in the ''Riddick'' verse to be OlderThanTheyLook (for instance, Carolyn Fry is supposedly in her early 40s while being played by a mid-20s actress), but whether this carried over into the films' canon is uncertain.

* TheScrappy: While Santana is intended to be a [[HateSink despised because of his despicable behavior and heinous deeds]], a good number of people instead dislike him for being a [[FlatCharacter one-dimensional]] Straw Character that feels more like a caricature of a HateSink, especially when compared to the other villains in the Riddick universe.
