YMMV: Respect
  • Moral Event Horizon: Yayoi crosses this either when she imprisons her own concerned mother in her sketchbook or when she turns on Cure March and imprisons her as well and promises to see her fear of bugs...
  • Nightmare Fuel: The Witch's Barrier is described as a forest of upside-down mushrooms over an algea-filled lake; Yayoi personally descibed it as something from out of a horror anime. The familiars from the barrier itself were armored hands that crawled around on their fingers as though they were legs. The Witch herself was described as an armored centipede with human faces on its underside, each with insectile eyes. Later, we have Yayoi's slipping into insanity and the results, such as a Ghost Town from Yayoi trapping everyone inside her sketchbook, the Sketches she drew up and made Mooks out of, and what she does to some of the people she has trapped. Then there's the matter of what happened to Cure Sunny...
  • Tear Jerker: ALL OVER THE PLACE! First, we see Yayoi's sketch being destroyed by the resident Alpha Bitch, then we see her fail to save someone from dying, then her reaction to accidentally killing the aforementioned Alpha Bitch, and finally we see her slowly becoming more and more paranoid for her crimes. She ultimately ends up falling into her despair and becoming Izabel, the Artist Witch from early in episode 10 of Puella Magi Madoka Magica...and it is implied there is next to nothing left of her humanity by then.
  • The Woobie: Poor Yayoi. Between being bullied and what she ultimately becomes, it is very hard not to feel for her. Cure Happy becomes this too when we see her being broken by someone who was supposed to have been fighting side by side with her as her close friend.
