When the cops arrive, [=GraveRobber=] cleverly slips away with Shilo on the back of a disposal truck, before [[PetTheDog ensuring she gets home safe]]. Implied to still be supplying Amber once she takes control of [=GeneCo=], [=GraveRobber=] ends the film completely successful, continuing his sordid work and having helped an innocent in the process.

** On the other hand, Luigi, Amber, and Pavi qualify. Luigi has a sad moment after [[spoiler: Rotti's death]], during the press conference. After his spontaneous temper tantrum, he starts crying, and the last thing we hear him say is [[spoiler:him sobbing out "Dad!"]] in a pathetic voice. Also, when Rotti disowns his children onstage and calls them useless, Pavi lets out such a pathetic little wail that some viewers expressed the desire to reach into the screen and hug him. As for Amber, the face humiliation is bad enough, but the sad look she has when her father disowns her publicly also gets her some sympathy points.

* KarmaHoudini: Arguably, Rotti Largo. Despite being revealed as being stricken with a fatal and incurable ailment at the story's beginning, he had already progressed to a rather advanced age where such diagnoses are hardly uncommon for humans, and - thus - it can't quite be said that he was particularly robbed of any youth because of it, and he continues to enjoy an existence of extraordinary wealth and prestige until his dying day. Secondly, his rather reprehensible actions and machinations remain ''well'' above-the-law for the entirety of the plot, as the incredible wealth and influence that his company connections provide him essentially ''write'' the law to his liking. The only thing that he desires that truly falls through for him is his dissatisfaction with his existing heirs and Shilo's rejection of his plan for her to kill her father and take control of the reigns of his company in his stead ... And by the time that that all pans out in the plot and it can be seen that his final vision will simply not materialize, he has already succumbed to his illness and is arguably too dead to actually ''care'', anymore.
