• The Woobie: Matthew "Matt" Griffen. His best friend (Randal) steals the ring he was going to give to his fiancée (Sally) and pawns it, and because of a curse on the ring Matt gets the irresistible urge to kill himself. And also because of the curse on the ring, the day restarts over and over again, with Matt killing himself every single time. Worse yet, in one of the loops Randal winds up engaged to Sally instead. And then because of a mistake, Randal gets trapped in prison and while he tries to escape, Matt kills himself over and over again every day for six years. Then when Randal finally breaks out, the apocalypse starts up and he has to feed the now cured Matt to the four horsemen of the apocalypse to be able to go back in time and save the world. Thankfully, Randal is able to save both Matt and the world by making sure he never stole the ring in the first place, but unfortunately Sally dies in the process, leaving Matt heartbroken.
