- Ensemble Dark Horse: Bassist Bruce Hall is quite well liked by fans for singing lead on a number of great tracks like “Back on the Road Again” and in recent live performances, is seen as having better vocals than Cronin, who’s voice has quite degraded over time.
- Narm Charm: A majority of Speedwagon's songs are schmaltzy Power Ballads that almost never talk about anything besides love, but they're so passionately performed that it's hard not to love them.
- Signature Song: "Keep on Loving You" and "Can't Fight This Feeling" were the band's number one hits for a reason.
- Sweet Dreams Fuel: Most of their songs are very soothing, but "Can't Fight This Feeling" is particularly comforting thanks to its lyrics about a Love Interest giving their significant other a purpose in life being incredibly uplifting, on top of the instrumentation being more subdued than most of their other hits.
