• Creator's Pet: Samuel, while not getting in hatedom territory, he wasn't as liked by Kfans as much as the editors. He got a ton of screentime and positive comments from the show, but not the positive reception they wanted him to get. He is a lot more popular international fans.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: Several trainees started in the lower rankings and survived multiple elimination. Examples include:
  • Park Woojin, he went from being rank 72-75 in the first two weeks to rank 14 in episode 8. In the final episode he ranked 6.
  • Seo Sung-hyuk, he started at rank 95-88-95 for the first three weeks and his lowest rank afterwards was at one point 19.
  • In the Get Ugly team Park Woojin, the lowest ranked member ends up with the most votes even though his teammates were all in the top 6.
• Fan Nickname:
  • Alpaca or in short 'Paca for Im Youngmin.
  • Wartortle (Onibugi in Korean) or 'Bugi' for Kim Jonghyun
  • The Avengers for Boys In Luv Group 1.
  • English-speaking fans usually differentiate the 2nd season to the 1st season by calling the 2nd season 'Broduce'
  • Cube Chicks for Cube Trainees Yoo Seonho and Lai Guanlin.
  • Hwang Minhyun obtained Hwang Emperor nickname because of his strategy in picking trainees for Sorry Sorry Group 2 (which is dubbed as Justice League).
  • [Insert_Company] Boys for trainees from the same companies. Examples are RBW Boys, Brand New Boys, Yuehua Boys. The MMO Boys get MMO Gossip Squad instead because of their gossiping in Episode 1.
  • Kang Dongho gets a lot of nickname, with Sexy Bandit as one of the most famous.
  • Ponyo for Jung Sewoon because of his resemblance to Ponyo of Ponyo On The Cliff By The Sea. Derived nickname including Young Dong Po, combination of Im Youngmin, Kim Donghyun, and him.
  • Wee Woo for Yuehua's Lee Euiwoong because of the difficulty in pronouncing his name.
  • Wink or Wink Boy for Park Jihoon based on his wink on the 'Me, It's Me' performance
• Ho Yay: Some on trainees are seen as very close. Other times it is used in performances.
  • Seonho really likes Minhyun and is constantly all over him. Seonnho's and Guanlin's audition video had them do a romantic dance on the song Troublemaker.
  • A creepy version is Ha Minho saying he would date Seonho if he was a girl, but soon after he turned out to be a creep with his underage fans and even changed his instagram account to Seonho's name, which made it came off as really weird.
  • In 10 out of 10 Team 1 they purposely used this kind of fan-service.
• Hype Backlash: Happened to several trainees. Most notably to Jang Moonbok who was very hyped before the start of the season, but dropped every week.
• Memetic Mutation
  • RBW Son Dongmyeong's Bloodcirculation Dance and Seo Sunghyuk's reaction to it. The dance was even made it into the choreography of one of the concept songs.
  • Jisung's reactions and triangle clap.
  • Taemin's re-evaluation dance.
  • Cube Chicks
  • Daewhi being scared of Dongho.
  • Minki's Shoulder Gangster pose.
  • Dongho's "Wow, Megaton Bomb." (This is a case of an accidental meme for that one sentence made Lotte's Megaton ice cream sales shoot up by 400% in just two days after his fans made hilarious photoshopped edits of Dongho with the ice cream bar as well as going around convenience stores and buying the ice cream in bulk to the point of them being sold out almost everywhere).
  • Ong Sungwoo in general is a walking meme.
• Never Live It Down: So far one of the greatest offences according to kfans is having a girlfriend. Poor guy not only got hate by his fans, but fans of other trainees blame him for potentially ruining the chances of his teammates, since he will decrease their chances of receiving a team benefit.
  • Hyunbin's "laziness" has been made as inside joke so many times.
• Portmanteau Couple Name: A couple like Ongniel (Ong+Daniel)already existed a couple of episodes in. After the revelation that in this season the third elimination round would have a two-pick voting system even more sprouted.
  • Wink Deep (Park Jihoon/Bae Jinyoung)
  • Hwanggu + Baekgu for Hyungseob and Park Woojin.
• Signature Laugh: Kim Jaehwan's high-pitched laugh.
• Tear Jerker: The eliminations.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Haknyeon, he was disappointed in his amount of parts for his performance, because he was afraid that he would drop in rank in rank if he couldn't prove himself. Only he was still in the top 11 and complained to people on the cutting line for the next elimination. He also was lagging behind the rest during practice. He ended up with more screen time than multiple other trainees in the performance. He won the team bonus, everyone else in his team was eliminated
• The Woobie: Multiple trainees, especially the ones who had a failed debut and had to return as trainees. Also those who received a ton of hate because of evil editing, overblown reactions by fans on minor attitude problems or those who just get hate because they might take the spot of their bias in the top 11.
