* BestKnownForTheFanservice: Abby's semi-frequent underwear scenes in the first season are one of the main things known about the show, especially as such fanservice was quite rare for British TV at the time. Even on this very wiki, the show is described as ''Doctor Who'' but with more underwear.

Added DiffLines:

** Connor's DoggedNiceGuy crush on Abby in general, in season 1, has this problem. Besides the fact he just makes some deeply uncomfortable gestures in the first two episodes, but he pretty much tricks her into letting him move in when he's thrown out of his own flat - and specifically chose to move in with her, rather than his friends (who offered and were willing to take him), which is seemingly motivated by the fact Abby's apartment temperature forces her to hang out in her underwear, and its made pretty clear a few times he's actively and openly gawking at her, even after she's made it clear she's uninterested.
** Nick also gets this to some extent with his reaction to finding out about Stephen and Helen's affair. While understandable he'd be upset and personally betrayed, especially as Stephen had since became his best friend, but its overlooked that Helen was Stephen's ''teacher'' when the affair happened, which is acknowledged by Helen but dismissed as simply "things happen", without addressing the power imbalance. Considering her manipulative streak and the fact Stephen would've barely been an adult at the time, the fact he was likely groomed by Helen is never addressed outside of acknowledging that to Helen the relationship likely meant nothing.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Sarah was quite a fun character - with knowledge about various myths and legends, and how they related to the creatures from the anomalies. Unfortunately, she's only in Season 3. This is due to Laila Rouass not wanting to move to Ireland to film after production changed to the BBC (specifically she was a single mother, and it would have required ten months in Ireland). [[spoiler: So she's killed offscreen between seasons]].
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Caroline has a HeelFaceTurn at the end of Season 2, and is actually horrified when she discovers what Leek was actually doing. Given her fighting skills demonstrated against Abby, and her ability to play innocent, she could have possibly been an asset to the team. But she disappears between seasons.

* FriendlyFandoms: With ''Series/DoctorWho''. At first, there was some unease over the fact that the show was basically created to ride on that show's popularity, but it dissipated when people came to realize that ''Primeval'' was actually quite different, and told a respectable story of its own. Many people like both now.

** The overuse of the Wilhelm scream gets pretty ridiculous after a while, especially when it's used in what's otherwise supposed to be a dramatic moment.
