• Unintentionally Sympathetic: Ravi is meant to come off as insensitive for hiding his passion for painting, especially when Nate spends most of the episode being disappointed in him for lying. However, many people have hidden their hobbies from people closest to them in the past out of fear of what they would think, so Ravi just came off as more sympathetic in the episode.
  • Unintentionally Unsympathetic: It's also somewhat odd that Nate would be upset with Ravi for telling an innocent lie, when he defended Zoey for doing the same thing in "Tools of the Betrayed" (albeit under different circumstances), though this could be explained as Nate being a bit biased due to his feelings for Zoey and/or the fact that he wasn't the one being lied to in that episode.
