• Broken Base: The view of Ash not trading his Tauros can lead to people both decrying the decision, or defending it: among them the author of Pokémon Reset Bloodlines for the latter. The former side of the argument argue that Ash seems to only use one Tauros and it would be an easy and quick way to increase his roster with twenty-nine new Pokemon to increase his effectiveness as a trainer. The latter side of the argument argue that not only does Ash not like trading after the first time went poorly but also point out that not only would this be quite jarring for the traded Tauros to be randomly given away to strangers, but that Ash would probably not be able to effectively use those twenty-nine new Pokemon due to logistics and Ash's inexperience with rotations at the time, and how Ash in canon already had problem with balancing his Kanto and Johto teammembers without nearly thirty more of them.
