• Nightmare Fuel: We've seen some of Callum Wells's actions from the view of the antagonists, and it is frightening.
  • In his first fight, we see the situation from a random mook in the vampire nest holding Clara Langley. There are gunshots coming rapid-fire from around the corner, but before the mook can turn to respond, his own head gets blown off, from an impossible angle.
  • The fae nobles leading the Wild Hunt completely dismiss Wells as a random human while focusing on their prey. One by one, the fairies disappear, until there are none. By the time they recognize Wells as a threat, it's too late. He teleports away from their sniper's arrow, and portals start flinging out bullets of cold iron. Then portals start crawling along the ground, jumping up and swallowing the offending fae and their mounts like ravenous beasts. Random boulders start raining from the sky, flattening the ents, and the leader is left for last, panicked, until he gets his own one-way trip to a dark cave with no breathable air, where he suffocates. Brr...
  • When Wells leads the raid on Garrison Two, portals launching lava at 120 mph open in strategic places, 10 ton boulders roll down the corridors at 120 mph, and all the earth mages can do is turn them into 10 tons of sand... flowing at 120 mph, making things worse, and lastly, Gayle Hargrave and Lucy Harper get snatched by a portal dropping down on them from overhead, swallowing them up like a starving beast.
  • When Wells is in Mictlan, as he's trying to starve out the geas on Lucy, he starts hearing strange whispers, and the shadows start moving. It's only because Archmage Wizzy managed to distract these shadows that he and Lucy managed to escape in time.
