 | These are what we call the 'YMMV items.' Things that some people find in this work. We call them 'your mileage might vary' because not everyone sees these things in the same way. YMMV: Open Veins Of Latin America
|
- Alternative Character Interpretation: Of a lot of people.
- Harsher in Hindsight: The writer laments the presence of military governments in Latin America, but is relieved to see Salvador Allende (a socialist) as President of Chile, hoping for him to have a great government… months after the book was published, Allende was deposed in a coup d’etat and commited suicide
- Although, today there are much fewer military governments in Latin America. Ironically, Cuba is one of the last of them.
