• Awesome Music: While the movie itself was not well-received, the soundtrack by Tom Waits and Crystal Gayle was acclaimed, nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Score, and features such great songs as "Broken Bicycles", "Old Boyfriends", and "This One's From the Heart".
• Cult Classic: At the time of its release, it was not only a Box Office Bomb, but seen as the work of a Prima Donna Director that helped kill the New Hollywood movement. However, in recent years, it's undergone somewhat of a critical reappraisal. While no one is calling it a neglected masterpiece along the lines of Heaven's Gate, people have praised the cinematography and the music, as well as the fact Francis Ford Coppola was attempting something unusual and different.
