YMMV / Once Upon A Crime (2023)

• Unintentionally Sympathetic: Cinderella is revealed as the killer of Hans. Given that he was threatening her, there's a strong argument it was self-defense, especially as it's revealed that Hans was powerful enough to threaten the prince. Cinderella did frame Margot, but given that Margot was violent enough to murder her pigeon...to prove the point that the ugly deserve death...and was willing to frame Cinderella herself, she might have attacked Cinderella soon enough. The story also doesn't sugar coat how abused Cinderella was, either. Yet, viewers are expected to see Cinderella getting arrested, with the prince coldly telling viewers he never loved her, as karmic justice for a cold-blooded killer.
