* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: With the release of all four songs online, "When We're Together" and "Ring In the Season" have been particularly well-received, particularly compared to the relatively lukewarm reception of "Making Today a Perfect Day," the song featured in Frozen Fever. Ironically the songs in this short were not written by the Lopezes (who wrote the songs for Frozen and Frozen Fever), probably because they were working on the songs for Coco at the time.

* InternetBackdraft: The short has been subjected to much anger from a large number of people for various reasons:
** The 21-minute length, the fact that it's a Christmas-themed short that played before a film about the Día de Muertos and the short simply being based on Frozen (which suffered from extreme HypeBacklash) annoyed some people.
** Conversely, when some theaters actually stopped showing the short due to these complaints, that angered people that actually wanted to see it.
** Norway being implied to exist within the world caused some disagreement amongst fans. Some accuse it of being a bad retcon due to Frozen Fevers map implying that Arendelle is a Culture of the real-life country, despite the idea of Norway itself not existing in the Frozen world being fanon, having never actually been established within canon. In fact, while not having been confirmed to have been a deliberate reference, Arendelle's name is similar to "Arendal," a city within Norway.
** Making Olaf the star of the short. While not a BaseBreakingCharacter like Prince Hans or Kristoff, many agree that Olaf isn't a character who can hold a short on his own.

* ItsShortSoItSucks: Inverted. The "short' wasn't actually supposed to be a theatrical short in the first place, but was designed as a made-for-tv ChristmasSpecial, complete with the running time to go with it. When Disney decided to show it in front of screenings of WesternAnimation/Coco, audiences were taken off-guard by its length, which is much longer than typical for the short films usually played before feature-length presentations, and found themselves impatiently waiting for the actual movie to begin. The hatred reached MemeticMutation levels in Mexico, where moviegoers had started recommending others to arrive half an hour late to avoid it.

The Its Short So It Sucks trope's about audience members saying something was too short, and there was definitely a noticeably common reaction among people who saw OFA saying it wasn't short enough.
