- Sophomore Slump: After Bob Clampett got off to a strong start with his first few color cartoons (i.e. Wabbit Twouble, Horton Hatches the Egg, and The Wacky Wabbit), this one feels underwhelming in contrast, mainly because it has the feel of a Tex Avery-style spot-gag picture with a weak ending gag and little of Clampett's own creativity. Thankfully, the rest of Bob's theatrical cartoons after this become a near-endless streak of home runs.
