• Esoteric Happy Ending: In the finale, Noah is given a three-year suspended sentence, as his sexual encounter with Milo was "almost entirely consensual", and he and his family return to England. It's not really a happy ending when you think about the implications; rape allegations-even if they're withdrawn-do not go away easily; Noah now has a criminal record, and will struggle to go to university or get a job to support himself and, not helped by the fact Martin had quit his job, his family are now thousands of pounds in debt, and the fallout from the trial making worldwide news is bound to stay with the family for years to come.
