  • Celebrity Voice Actor: Parodied with Primeape, who talks and acts like Hulk Hogan, and Sandslash, who likewise behaves like Clint Eastwood (or, more accurately, like a stereotypical Clint Eastwood Western character). And it's not hard to guess who Toxicroak's "voice actor" is, even before he starts dropping "Fool!" every other sentence.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight
    • As the story was first planned out in 2013, British character Mari Illustrious Makinami is described as being from Sinnoh because at the time, no Pokémon region based on Britain existed. Cue Pokémon Sword and Shield, and a Britain-based region has indeed been revealed.
    • The Legendary Pokémon are all much larger than their game counterparts, to the point of being Kaiju-sized. Once again, this was written before Sword and Shield introduced the game mechanic of Dynamaxing.
    • On the very first chapter, the author's I Do Not Own disclaimer says that if he did own Pokémon, then Ash would have won a Pokémon League Tournament. Cut to 2019, and that exact thing has happened.
    • One of Touji's Pokémon in this story is an Arcanine. In the fourth Rebuild of Evangelion movie, released after this story was completed, Touji is shown to have a dog.
  • Schedule Slip: Updates were fairly consistent from 2013 to 2015, but tapered off in the following years. The author has said, however, that he intends to finish the story by the time the fourth Rebuild of Evangelion movie is released, and spend much of the 2020 quarantine writing additional chapters. The posting of new chapters resumed in December 2020, and finished in January 2021.
