YMMV / My Beloved Mother

• Iron Woobie: On one hand, Milan is an indestructible, military-grade robot who could withstand all kinds of punishment and give them back with ease. On the other hand, she's a Struggling Single Mother and a robot to a child who rejects her, runs away from home, and doesn't love her back no matter what she does. What's even worse is that the final chapter would reveal Milan to be Aya, Sinbell's biological mother, who died to save him before getting reprogrammed into a robot to continue her motherly duties.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Even taking into account his backstory that he's an orphan Raised by Robots, Sinbell's actions in the story's first half - lying to Milan about the parent-teacher meeting, joining the class Anti-Robot Club, and finally losing his temper on Milan for trying to take him back home after his runaway - is anything but sympathetic. Try reading through the beginning chapters without the urge to punch that Ungrateful Bastard in the face, just try.
