YMMV / Murder Rooms

• Ass Pull: The Reveal of the murder in the pilot. He's a fellow med student like Doyle and it comes from absolutely nowhere.
  • Unless you're a true crime fan, who might recognize the character as sharing the name of a real life 19th century serial killer known as the Lambeth Poisoner.
• Growing the Beard: While the pilot was enjoyable, the series proper had tighter story-lines and did much better at the killers' motivations and the methods Bell and Doyle caught up to them.
• He Really Can Act:
  • Ian McNeice is pretty good as the villain in "The Kingdom of Bones"
  • Rik Mayall delivers an excellent non-comedic performance as a complex and dark character in "The White Knight Stratagem".
