• Cliché Storm: The entire Dom and Darlene being held by Janice plot serves as this. It borrows a lot from Quentin Tarantino films and Breaking Bad.
• Harsher in Hindsight: The ending of the episode where Elliot breaks down crying due to his trauma would be even more heart-wrenching when in Rami's next project No Time to Die, His character Safin causes the death of James Bond by poisoning him, which results in Bond sacrificing himself to protect Madeleine and their daughter Mathilde. Meaning Elliot's final lines in this episode, "I can't do it, I am sorry." is almost like Rami genuinely crying out of grief and remorse that he caused the death of a good and kind father in the movie, the father that Mathilde needed.
• Romantic Plot Tumor: Dom and Darlene's arc in this episode. It got so annoying when Janice kept on overreaching that they had a "connection" to the point you wanted to skip this one because it distracted from Elliot's realistic PTSD and fallout from Vera psychologically abusing and gaslighting him.
• Wangst: If you are a Dom and Darlene shipper, you probably found their arc heartbreaking than Elliot's, but if you are not, then you found it really annoying.
