    Reddit commenter: Interesting fact, the book itself was condemned by the church and never used by the inquisition due to the unethical and illegal procedures in it in regards of identifying and trying alleged witches. It was the secular courts that used it which have made the common misconception and stereotype today of inquisitors going batshit insane with the "burn the heretics" rhetorics.
