• Why Would Anyone Take Him Back?: Rowley is good and charming but he's also sexist, controlling, ill-tempered, and will always put King Henry ahead of Adelia, and you could make a drinking game out of the amount of times Adelia realizes he's no good for her only to immediately take him back. By the fourth book, even Adelia can't think of reasons she's with him besides "I love him" and is openly bemoaning the fact that she "has" to be with him.
