YMMV / M*A*S*H S1 E17: Sometimes You Hear the Bullet

• Growing the Beard: This is widely regarded as the episode where M*A*S*H proved it had the potential to be something more than just another sitcom.
• Harsher in Hindsight: Hawkeye hates himself for only crying now since he came to Korea. He'll have cried a lot more once the series is done.
• Ho Yay: Tommy greets Henry, who he's meeting for the first time, by kissing him full on the mouth. It's implied this is a fairly standard way of saying hello for Tommy, as he references wanting to do the same for Hawkeye when he sees him on the operating table. Henry, for his part, doesn't seem to mind at all.
