• Esoteric Happy Ending: The Pandavas are all alive, victorious and rule Hastinapur with Draupadi as queen. But they have almost no friends, allies or well wishers, since most of them perished in the war. Krishna is still with them, but his own family is becoming fragmented and dysfunctional, doomed to destroy itself from infighting due to Gandhari’s curse. Draupadi’s outrage has been avenged, but her father, brother and sons are dead. Way too many kingdoms are left bereft of kings and heirs, meaning that Yudhistir has a huge sprawling area stretched from Gandhar in present day Afghanistan to Trigarta in present day Assam, all the way to Vidharba and Chedi in central India to govern, probably stretching himself thin.
