• Awesome Art: A lot of the scenery in Maeka's more recent videos looks very well-done. The pictures on her DeviantArt page are particularly gorgeous, especially in terms of lighting and character design.
• Growing the Beard: Quite possibly one of the most extreme examples on all of YouTube. Maeka's earliest videos were MS Paint montages set to music, whereas her current content consists of gorgeously animated SFM Splatoon videos with genuine plot and characterization.
  • The subtitles now have far less grammatical errors than before.
• Moe: Given that this is set in the world of Splatoon, it's only natural several of the characters would be this.
  • Maeka, when she's not possessed, is a genuinely adorable young girl. Especially evident in her first DA picture.
  • Yumi is what happens when you combine the cuteness of an inkling and a kitten. No wonder Maeka adopted her. Her backstory also pushes her into Woobie territory
  • Maeka's clone Mutsuki is absolutely adorable for her almost childlike demeanor and kindness. Is it any wonder Kei and her became a couple?
• Narm Charm: The series is created by a french YouTuber, with english subtitles. The translations can be spotty at times, but there's still something fun about it.
• Signature Series Arc: The 4-part 2 octolings arc introduced Tori, Mutsuki, Kei, Yuma, and Hisoka to the channel, permanently altering the status quo.
• Visual Effects of Awesome: Arima's movements look wonderfully uncanny in every video she appears in.
  • The cyborg octolings also look absolutely gorgeous, and their movements are simply a sight to behold.
