  • The opening scene, where Macbeth and his wife are grieving over their dead child.
  • The deaths of Lady Macduff and her children, where they're caught on the road and burned at the stake before the castle. The shots of Lady Macbeth shedding tears over their deaths only compounds the tragedy and shows just how far Macbeth has fallen.
