  • Awesome Moments: The entire finale. Getting to properly kill a stronger monster after merely banishing the Ghost Girl, dying to Shoggoth, fleeing from the Mimic, and Sotiris letting you leave is pretty awesome on its own. But the escape that follows can only be described as an angry rampage where you’re encouraged to just go FERAL on the enemies in your way as you leave the sewers for good. After an entire game’s worth of running, hiding and narrowly escaping, being able to cut loose and just slaughter everything standing between you and safety is cathartic as hell.
  • Best Level Ever: Nezumi Labs definitely stands out, with a disturbing backstory, Mind Screw after mind screw, and Sotiris capping it off with a unique death sequence should you die to him and one last trick when it looks like you’re safe from his fourth wall shattering shenanigans.
  • Disappointing Last Level: Some find the escape, where the protagonist goes on a Roaring Rampage of Revenge and slaughters his way out of the sewers in a way that would make Doomguy proud, to be a fitting and satisfying “epilogue” and consider the Siren to be a good final boss. Others think the escape quickly devolves into repetitiveness, that Siren was a frustrating Puzzle Boss, and are upset that neither of these events actually resolve any of the game’s mysteries when overcome.
  • Nightmare Fuel: Has its own page.
  • Scrappy Weapon: The shotgun deals anemic damage to enemies due to the rock salt shells it is loaded with, its rate of fire is slow as all hell, and its pellets have about the same reach as a wet cough. It is incredibly effective against specific enemiesnote , but against anything else it is near worthless.
  • Player Punch: The ending where you kill your own dog by shooting it. Not only do you see her dying body whimpering on the ground, you get some lovely messages as you observe her such as "This is your fault" and "You Monster!". To make it even worse, each ending has varying levels of ambiguity as to how real the journey into the sewers was. This ending strongly implies that it was nothing more than a hallucination.
