• Ho Yay:
  • John and Luke. After being rejected by Michelle, John and Luke go on the date that John had planned to take Michelle on.
  • Eva and Mary. Mary lists Eva as one of the things that make her happiest.
  • Leia and Rachel. The two girls are very close, bordering on co-dependency. Rachel finally decides to end her friendship with Leia after she puts a boy above their relationship, again. Rachel also writes a song about how Leia 'makes her feel something real.' The girls write a song which Leia describes as a 'love song to our friendship'. When asked about who she has a crush on, Rachel replies with a laugh, asking Maggie if 'she's seen the guys who go here?'
  • Maggie and Leia
  • The girl band as a group has several moments. Most notably when Annabelle locks them all in a closet to get over their problems. The band also claims they share a brain and were brought together by fate.
• Tear Jerker:
  • When John reveals he was the one who found his mother after she committed suicide.
  • When Leia tells Rachel she won't go to the concert with her, and doesn't think they will be able to repair their friendship.
  • When Mary is crying after Tully stood her up and Eva comforts her.
  • When John and Clara are in the studio at the end of season 2.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot:
  • When the girl band kicks Maggie out of the band. Seen originally as a major turning point, but fails to change anything.
