• Awesome Music:
  • The opening to the anime, Olympus no Polon (Polon of Olympus)
  • The Italian opening is arguably better than the original.
• Fridge Logic:
  • The main premise is Pollon trying to become a goddess. But she's the daughter of a god and this makes her automatically a goddess (or at least a demigoddess, since we don't know who is her mother). But then, there would be no plot.
  • For what has been gathered, it is less her trying to become a goddess and more figuring out what she's goddess of. In the first episode Apollo brushes off her concerns and tells her they'll discuss it when she's older.
• Germans Love David Hasselhoff: In Italy it was renamed C'era una volta... Pollon ("Once Upon A Time... Pollon'') and gained a strong following that more or less goes on to this day: it is considered a prominent example of kids' programmes in the '80s, and they even got to publish an Italian version of the decades-old original manga.
• Memetic Mutation: To Italian viewers, the infamous rhyme about the magic dust, because of the ambiguous meaning. "It resembles talcum powder but it's not, its purpose is to give you happiness. If you eat it or you inhale it, it immediately gives you happiness." Does This Remind You of Anything?)
• Moe: Pollon is a blonde and very cute Cheerful Child.
