YMMV: Leaves of Grass
- Adaptation Displacement: Or at least title displacement. When you hear "I Sing the Body Electric," you're probably going to think of the Ray Bradbury story or the Twilight Zone episode, not the poem by Walt Whitman.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: Today, it's kind of impossible to read the passage in "Song of Myself" where Whitman refers to his testicles as "my life-lumps" without thinking of a certain Black Eyed Peas song.
- Magnum Opus: And Whitman knew it. He revised it over and over again, and spent many years writing the first edition.
