• Covered Up: A repeat victim of this trope:
  • "I Found Someone," originally written for her and released in 1986, would go onto be a Top 10 hit for Cher in 1987.
  • "How Am I Supposed To Live Without You?" was a #1 hit for her, but was a bigger and longer lasting hit for Michael Bolton, whose version went international and won him a Grammy. In his defense, he did co-write the song.
  • "Foolish Lullaby" was later covered by Paul Anka as "It's Hard to Say Goodbye" in 1993; a duet was later recorded with Céline Dion in 1999, which reached the Top 40.
