• Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: An author note in the manga states that just after the Alsace arc, immediately after Kurono meets the spirit of the former Demon King, who gave him a replacement eye, the publisher has yanked the plug on the manga adaptation, due to plummeting sales. This is true even though the manga tones down what occurred during the same part of the original web-novel. OUCH.
