• Unintentionally Unsympathetic:
  • Kyotaro going back to Japan and letting Kenji go fight Tony Tan alone. Given that he has been such an influence on Kenji’s life and Kenji was only in China looking for him plus had just rescued him from the Yacha Wang gang, Kyotaro just returning home saying he’ll give an excuse to his parents comes across as callous. While he wouldn’t have been able to help, he could have at least tag along as a guide/fixer and moral support.
  • Plus, had Tony killed Kenji it could have conceivably broke apart the Goh family because his daughter-in-law would have never forgiven Kyotaro (and possibly his son) for the whole journey thing.
