• Magnificent Bastard: The titular Joe Kidd is a former Bounty Hunter hired by corrupt landowner Frank Harlan to hunt down a group of revolutionary banditos led by Luis Chama. Though he initially refuses, Joe relents when a friend of his is attacked by Chama. After spending a large portion of the film aiding Harlan and his posse in the hunt for Chama, Joe is fed up with Harlan's sleazy nature when Harlan holds five of Chama's men hostage—threatening to kill them if Chama doesn't turn himself in—and cooks up a well thought-out plan to escape and rescue the hostages. Joe ends up starting a gunfight with Harlan and his men after being chased into town that ends with Joe outsmarting and shooting Harlan dead before delivering Chama to the local sheriff and riding out of town.
