• Bizarro Episode: Kimber interrupts the opening credits to tell the viewers that there won’t be a show, which is the start of several documentary-style fourth wall breaks. Starlight Records goes bankrupt in the less than a week of Jem's disappearance, which gets it bought out by Pizzazz’s father, and the Holograms, Stingers, and Misfits are turned into a super-group. Jem is also more attracted to Riot than in most other episodes.
• Epileptic Trees: Fan speculation is that this was intended as a finale (or at minimum a season finale).
