He was around 43 years old at the time this film movie version was released. William Hurt from 1996 version is actually the oldest actor who played as Mr. Rochester when he was 46 years old..
• Germans Love David Hasselhoff: This movie is sometimes credited as the reason why Jane Eyre becomes popular in China.
• Just Here for Godzilla: Some viewers admitted that they learned about this version is because John Williams was the music composer there.
• Retroactive Recognition: At the time, very dedicated fans might have recognized the composer's name from his work on projects such as Lost in Space. Nowadays, every film score fan knows John Williams.
