  • Growing the Beard: Season 2. The robberies take place while the family/tenants aren't aware of it as opposed to it happening with the families watching it from the van. If not because of the added tension of a time limit on the whole thing, but because it also hammers home just how much damage a burglar can do while you're out on a simple trip to the grocery store.
  • Paranoia Fuel: After seeing how easy it is for someone to break in, even breaking locks, one can't help but get some of this.
    • One of the worst examples was one point where an older homeowner walks in on Jon during the burglary and he only avoids getting caught by hiding behind the curtains. The guy got within a few feet of Jon, and only missed noticing him because he wasn't wearing his glasses and was almost literally Blind Without 'Em. That was the sticking point for the family; if Jon were a real burglar, the guy could have easily been attacked or killed.
    • As mentioned on the Main Page under Impersonating an Officer, imagine what might happen if someone stole a uniform, badge, or other police equipment. The idea that there could be a burglar out there dressed as a cop is some pretty serious Paranoia Fuel.
